A flat $4 service fee is added on top of each charge and paid by the parker — like a standard convenience fee. The configured checkout also adds the estimated Stripe processing fee. When you use mailed recovery, those are billed through to you at cost plus a small handling margin, itemized on your monthly invoice. You only pay for what you send, and can set a spend alert and a hard cap in Settings.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

When does the trial start?
When you start using nfors — your first issued charge or first synced permit. If you finish onboarding but don’t use it, the trial starts automatically 30 days later.
What counts as a user?
Every person on your account — operators, supervisors, and field agents. Five are included in the $250/month subscription; additional users are $30/month each.
What happens when the trial ends?
If you’ve added a billing method, your subscription begins and auto-renews monthly. If not, the account pauses — your data is kept and you can reactivate any time by adding billing.
Is the 90-day trial really free?
Yes — the $250/month licence (with 5 users) is free for the full 90 days, no card. You can run your whole operation — issue charges, collect payments online, use the agent app, sync permits, handle disputes, run reports — at no cost. The one optional usage cost is mailed recovery (a DMV lookup + letters) if you choose to chase unpaid charges by mail. In the configured direct-charge checkout, the $4 service fee is added to the amount presented to the parker.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time from Settings → Billing. You keep access through the period you’ve paid for. Cancel during the free trial to avoid starting the recurring platform subscription; separately incurred pass-through costs may still apply.
Who pays the $4 per-charge fee?
The parker. It’s added on top of the parking charge at payment in the configured direct-charge checkout. Settlement remains subject to refunds, disputes, chargebacks, taxes, and Stripe’s terms. If a charge is refunded through the supported workflow, the $4 fee is refunded too.
What does mailed recovery cost?
Only operators who pursue unpaid charges by mail incur it. The registered-owner (DMV) lookup and each mailed notice carry real third-party costs; we bill those through at cost plus a small handling margin, itemized on your invoice. Are there per-scan or per-AI charges?
No. License-plate recognition, AI dispute analysis, daily agent summaries, receipts, notifications, and evidence storage are all included in the $250 base subscription — there are no per-scan or per-AI fees.

Can I integrate my existing PMS?
Yes — the Permits API is designed for this. Operators sync active permits, agents see a warning in the field before issuing a charge to a plate that has a valid permit, and webhooks notify your systems when charges and payments occur.
